There have been numerous initiatives to increase the diversity of contributors to the Linux kernel over the years, and there has been a steady increase in the relative % of contributors as well as absolute numbers. This BOF will review some of the historical data on gender diversity from the recently released kernel history report. Challenge to brainstorm on is how to shift the relative %higher, what's critical mass, etc.
Improving diversity is not just limited to gender, and if participants want to start to discuss how we can improve outreach and inclusion to other groups, that would be great.
