LPC 2014 Attendee Information and Logistics

We look forward to welcoming you to Linux Plumbers Conference next week, October 15th-17th at the Congress Centre Düsseldorf South (CCD SÜD), in Düsseldorf, Germany. Below, please find all logistical details you may need for your arrival.

REGISTRATION & BADGE PICK-UP
Registration is located on the Ground Floor of the Congress Center Düsseldorf (in the Süd building entrance).
Please bring your confirmation ID with you to check-in onsite in order to expedite the process.
Registration Hours:
Monday, October 13th – Thursday, October 16th: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday, October 17th : 8:30am – 2:00pm

COMPLIMENTARY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PASS
We are pleased to offer a complimentary transportation pass to each attendee for use on the Düsseldorf public transport system. The pass is printed on each badge. Please present your badge together with a valid ID to bus drivers and subway attendants. If upon your arrival, you need to travel from the airport to the hotel and to the congress center to pick up your badge, you can still take advantage of the free pass, by printing the necessary one-trip pass that was emailed directly to you and presenting it to gain access to the public transport. SHUTTLE BUSES
Shuttle buses will loop between the CCD SÜD and the closest U-bahn stop. In addition shuttles will run between some of the hotels and the CCD SÜD. Please make sure you take note of the days and hours of operation, listed here

MEALS
Continental breakfast and coffee breaks are included for all LPC 2014 attendees and will be served outside the meeting rooms; lunch is also included and will be located daily in the Wintergarten restaurant onsite.

We welcome attendees to any of our co-located events and workshops. To register for any of the events below if you have not already done so, edit your registration form to include your additional choices. Or you can register via the separate registration forms where necessary.

Open to all attendees of LinuxCon + CloudOpen + ELC Europe, KVM Forum, and Linux Plumbers Conference. Join us at Nachtresidenz, an architecturally unique venue in Old Town Düsseldorf. Home to the 100-year old Residence Theatre, you will feel as if you’ve stepped back in time as soon as you arrive. Dinner, drinks and special entertainment are all included.

We will provide looping shuttle service between the Hilton Düsseldorf, Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel and Nachtresidenz starting at 6:30pm through 10:00pm. There will also be a looping shuttle that will go directly from the CCD to Nachtresidnez starting at 6:30pm through 10:00pm.

We also recommend taking public transportation using the U-Bahn system from the CCD SÜD or your hotel. Please follow the public transportation directions here.

Closing Party at Restaurant Hausbar (sponsored by Facebook)

The traditional LPC Closing Party will be held at 7pm at Restaurant Hausbar. The evening will feature a dinner buffet and will host a full bar. No shuttle transport will be provided. Attendees can use their free transportation pass to reach the venue in the city center. Note that this event is only for LPC attendees.
